NATIONAL WASTE

MPs representing opposition parties disturbing parliamentary sessions is criminal waste of national resources and reflects to the world at large (through live pictures in the electronic media) the cheap undignified ghetto behavior of adults in the name of democracy.
This destructive unproductive attitude and mentality is being tolerated by the government(s) (irrespective of which bunch is in power) and cannot be allowed to continue.
It is obvious that the elected Members are shameless power hungry individuals not fit to be leaders. They need to be punished with stiff fines and disallowed from the house for creating and or participating in criminal wastage of time and resources.
As it is most MPs are 'irregular guests' in the house preferring to remain busier with money making activities (mostly corrupt) by flaunting their MP status.
Why must the tax paying Indian population pay the bills of these useless individuals?

SET A THIEF TO CATCH A THIEF

Irrespective of the truth in the various allegations leveled by the Board against Modi who is now the 'fall guy' for the collective failure of the BCCI Board Members, he has shown moral courage by publicly stating to accept responsibility for any wrong doing that can be proven against him.
This is in stark contrast to the escapist stand taken by the rest of the Members who should also be held equally guilty for wrong doings.
It is obvious that a 'dummy' Commissioner to replace Modi will ensure that all evidence is tailored to fix Modi while proof of failure and corruption pointing to the rest of the gang is destroyed.
The pathetic blame game being articulated by Shashank in his official capacity speaks volumes for the total lack of transparency and low morals with undignified behavior.
None of the 'cricket mafia' who represent BCCI has the moral courage to own up their failures but have the audacity to assume that the players and fans will accept their eye wash of internal investigation.
It is absurd that the thieves will investigate their own theft without allowing third party verification.
Zero credibility will be the outcome but the mafia will be free to loot with a new team better equipped to cover their trail based on the facts uncovered.

BIG THIEF KILLS SMALL THIEF

The Finals of the IPL was in progress while the 'crooks' representing BCCI were absent from the venue huddled in some hotel room (certainly enjoying free food and drinks) drafting 'show cause' notice served on Lalit Modi in the dead of night. This in itself reflects the criminal characteristics of the office bearers whose priority is not the game but the personal benefits accruing from cricket which they perceived to be under threat. Boycotting an event which is hosted by BCCI is an insult to the players and the nation's public at large.
The treatment meted out to Modi is akin to mob lynching by corrupt BCCI gang lords in association with greedy politicians and other vested individuals!!
Such treatment in a democratic country makes India a 'BANANA REPUBLIC', which is a shame and an attempt to deny common citizen's right to know the truth.
Judgment without giving opportunity to defend has no credibility. Hiding behind legalese to isolate an individual where collective responsibility is the core is like burying one's head in the sand in the hope that failures of omission and commission will disappear by shooting the scape goat.
The government must take recourse to suspending the BCCI forthwith and show political will and sense of equity and justice expected in our democratic environment to save the game and country from disrepute.

KAUN PAKDEGA CHOR?

It is becoming obvious that IPL is a 'curry train' boarded by politicians of all colours. The pertinent question that arises is, why so many politicians and other 'page 3' characters bought tickets to board this train if they have no attraction of windfalls from this shady enterprise in the name of cricket.
All those who disturbed parliamentary proceedings to kill 'scape goat' Shashi now cannot hide behind the moral high ground they portrayed. How about resigning to reflect moral courage?
Incidentally, what's Sharad's capacity in cricket admin - is he not merely an "EX" trying to save the skin of crooks rather than doing his 'real work' (for which we pay him) of providing food for the millions of hungry deprived Indians??
The latest farce being played out in Parliament by the opposition to score political points is demand for a JPC (Joint Parliamentary Committee). It is a master stroke based on ‘you scratch my back I scratch yours’ principle.
JPC - JO PAKDE CHOR is the exit route that will conveniently bury explosive evidence and the truth shall never be known. Immunity and confidentiality barriers will not permit the veil to be lifted.
It is more than obvious that the bunch of chors who collectively fleeced our nation with impunity as Minister/MP/MLA are now scared that their misdeeds are about to be exposed.
The boomerang effect of easing out a soft target (without establishing Shashi's guilt) has badly back fired.
The unity reflected by the opposition along with the 'investigation farce' initiated by the ruling coalition is proof of the "you scratch my back I scratch yours" drama being played out for the public.
The media is also fooling itself by creating competitive stories from irrelevant leaks while the politicians 'cook up' stories to hide actual facts via the JPC tunnel.
Huge financial transactions and shell companies linked to off shore entities are expected to set alarm bells ringing for non compliance of statutory mandates - but our corrupt system can be by passed for a few thousands.
Just imagine the implication of this systemic failure on 'terror funds' moving around to target our country?

OUTSIDE NOT INSIDE?

IPL Semis moved out of Bangalore because of the looming threat perception caused by Karnataka's pathetic failure to provide reasonable security around the cricket stadium struck by multiple bomb blasts on Saturday and discovery of bombs waiting to blast even into Sunday!!
Instead of admitting the failure and ensuring that such incidents do not repeat, our politicians have gone on 'rhetoric mode' to find convenient scape goats to justify their anger against the decision to move the games to Mumbai.
We have a bumbling Police Commissioner who does not portray any confidence while he faces the media and his boss the Home Minister - should be treated as a living example of how not to govern. The less said about the CM who is the HM's boss the better!!
Imagine the stupid logic of the HM's statement that moving the games is a conspiracy initiated by a 'betting lobby' and nothing to do with threat perception because the bombs blasted 'outside' and not 'inside' the stadium. To emphasize his point - even the bombs that did not blast were not 'inside'!!
A bomb's address is more relevant than the fact that they found their way into sanitized zones and randomly discovered in the city.
Because no one was killed the police and their political bosses conclude that it is not a failure but just a minor incident.

INDIAN POLITICAL LAMB (IPL)

Shashi Tharoor with his brilliant diplomatic career and impressive academic achievements has become the sacrificial lamb to save the political compulsions of the Congress party.
Tharoor's profile** is misfit for the unsophisticated environment that dominates the Indian political arena. His decision to enter the largely corrupt 'vote bank' centric narrow minded and manipulative shallow culture of nasty politicians has been a misadventure.
The service by default that he has provided is to highlight the sleaze that represents IPL.
Hope he has the courage and will to carry on despite this misjudged attempt to enter politics and forges ahead on the inherent strength of his core competencies.

- Tharoor was born in London March 9, 1956.

- Educated in Kerala, Mumbai and Kolkata. Graduated from St. Stephen's college in Delhi.

- He has two masters and a doctorate from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, US. He became the youngest doctorate at Tufts at 22, with doctoral thesis on "Reasons of State".

- He joined the United Nations in 1978, rising to become under secretary general for communications and public information in 2001.

- He was nominated by India for the post of UN Secretary General in 2006. He lost to South Korea's Ban Ki-Moon. Left the UN April 1, 2007.

- Tharoor contested the 2009 Lok Sabha election on a Congress party ticket from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and won by a margin of 100,000 votes.

- He was sworn-in minister of state May 28, 2009.

23/7 FRAUD

The political mafia in Karnataka coined ‘23/7’ to signify just an hour long load shedding in Bangalore this summer!!
1,2,3,4..7 – it’s not some random sequence but indicator of ‘hours’ in the erratic progression during the past week of the daily ‘load shedding’ we have to endure during the unusually hot April this year in Bangalore.
Infrastructure mismatch in power and water is silently becoming a reality. Unfortunately, the politicians in charge of governance remain in their fool’s paradise, wasting tax payer funds publishing advertisements to announce their fake achievements and false promises.
It is shameful that the Chief Minister of the State for the past few days has been publishing signed statements with a large self portrait of his smiling face to authenticate the contents praising his government’s achievements in the power sector – while the ever increasing ‘load shedding’ hours is the ‘REAL BACKDROP’.
The government is a mockery run by jokers who have no clue of what’s happening to its citizenry because as our elected representative they remain busy looting the state’s resources directly or indirectly to meet ‘personal wealth’ targets before their 5 year deadline in governance expires?

RIGHT TO EDUCATION (RTE) has become a compulsory facility the government has mandated to provide for all Indian children up to primary level.
Passing of the Bill in Parliament is a forward looking legislation that deserves to be appreciated and supported by one and all.
However, our country being so full of shameless politicians with personal agendas that the “FILTH” always surfaces faster than the ink on the statute dries!!
The first to sign in with a political twist is none other than QUEEN DALIT – MAYAWATI – DALIT KI BETI – now more famous for introducing the innovative ‘GARLAND OF CURRENCY NOTES’ with which she chose to garland her self in full public view.
Our diamond studded currency garlanded DALIT KI BETI shoots off a letter to the Prime Minister that the universal education for children in her dominion of Uttar Pradesh cannot be ensured for lack of funds?
Funds are not a problem with the UP Chief Minister when it comes to building her statues along with ‘elephants’ – her party’s election symbol. She has broken all records of decency by creating a ‘special security force’ to guard the hundreds of statues across the State at a cost of 200 crores per annum. The police and other agencies are not enough for protecting her statues?
Thousands of crores have been spent and continues to be spent to build bigger than life size personal statues along with other garish show of wealth and power. The thousand Rupee currency notes garlands require the support of six men to hold over her torso. The minimum value of these garlands runs into over two crores each!!
When and how will such inhuman characters quit the political stage? This woman is so self obsessed that it borders on lunacy. Lunatics cannot hold office of Chief Minister aspiring to be Prime Minister!!
