TOO MUCH DEMOCRACY

Our Nation which is considered to be the largest (and also based on thousands of years historical facts the oldest) Democracy of the world is increasingly being abused and undermined by vested interest groups to hurt and destroy the core values of this glorious country, in the name of Democratic Rights derived from our Constitution.

Let us look at the fallacy of this 'Democratic Rights' label, which abusers conveniently deploy as a mask for their chest beating activities to create disturbances and anarchy by latching on to blatant lies & misinformation campaigns for building false narratives on 'non issues'.

Some recent incidents can be presented as examples in support of this dangerous agenda driven exercise of Democratic Rights arising from certain freedoms like free speech & protest purely and solely derived from LIES and FAKE PERCEPTIONS.

The CAA protest of Shaheen Bagh and the ongoing Farmers protest presents glaring evidence of FALSEHOOD in the the name of Democratic Rights. The Statutes against which these protests are being operated have been distorted with repeated lies to cheat innocent protestors who are trapped by political parties and their immoral leaders to disturb peace in the Nation. All these protests are loaded with potential violence capable of destruction of property and life when senseless but planned mayhem occurs under instruction of well funded invisible handlers. Recollect the attack on Red Fort where the National flag was insulted with impunity.

The disgusting dharna by a Chief Minister (soon after thumping electoral majority) in front of CBI premises along with party supporters and Minister of Law trespassing into the investigation agency's office presents another horrible episode of the same 'Democratic Rights' template of abuse.

A Member of Parliament who also happens to be senior advocate in Supreme Court publicly abuses  incumbent Governor of the State and also instigates party supporters to file multiple FIRs across the State so that the Governor can be dragged into prison when he remits office and no longer enjoys immunity of prosecution associated with the office of Governor. This is done in the name of Democracy because the political party cannot accept a functioning Governor performing his Constitutional duties.

Sadly our higher judiciary has also displayed miserable apathy to the growing disease of 'RIGHTS WITHOUT DUTIES'. Often, the High Courts & Supreme Court gets trapped in this game of lies & untruths being played by fake perception builders. They get carried away by falsehood to unwittingly indulge in judicial overreach, while remaining oblivious with stunning silence when their prompt and robust indulgence is required to save & protect the citizenry. Social media platforms & certain media persons have become a law unto themselves but our judiciary remains a silent spectator unwilling or unable to take them to task for violating the Nation's sovereignty. They do not get moved by derogatory editorials and vulture photo journalism selling death and fear during the pandemic.

If this trend persists then our Democracy is in peril. It is the collective responsibility and duty of all citizens to flag this unacceptable, deplorable and undemocratic destruction of Democracy in the name of Democratic Rights.

Too much Democracy will destroy the credibility of the country. We have probably crossed the stage of 'wake up' so must move on to 'ACT UP' mode to salvage our Democracy.

12/9 Immorality of Politics

While our Nation tries to cope with the suspected bio terror unleashed on us in the form of "Virulent Second Wave" of the Chinese Virus, a group of rejected, spent, twitter & letterhead using politicians are looking for ways and means to create false perceptions around the pandemic related resource management to spread country wide anarchy merely to fulfill their personal political agenda.

Twelve (12) family owners of political dynasty enterprises have written a Nine (9) point letter addressed to the Prime Minister listing dos & don'ts along with some how's and whys on the ongoing struggle with the Covid 19 situation and its management by the Government.

These rogues have stated bizarre items purported to manage the pandemic like:

1) Withdrawing the Farmer Bills

2) Stop construction of the Central Vista Project

3) PM Care Fund's legality

12 signatories includes the woman of foreign origin who operated as a Super Prime Minister for Ten Years under the guise of Chairperson of an extra Constitutional entity known as National Advisory Council. This was a massive abuse of our Constitution and affront of citizens that has gone unpunished.

The contents of the letter exposes the petty mindedness of these political scoundrels and makes them nude in public domain with their hidden agenda to harm the country by taking advantage of dead bodies and insulting our Doctors & Scientists by undermining their role in the discovery of Vaccines and other treatment protocols.

The inhuman services provided by front line workers is being mocked by spreading blatant lies and fake news across the country with the help of a gang of sold out media persons and houses. Hoarding & black-marketing of critical resources is being sponsored by these politicians to create artificial shortages capable of killing innocent patients.

We as a Nation must stand up against these dangerous conspirators to ensure that the invisible Chinese aggression on our land along with assistance of sleeper cells on the payroll of the Chinese Communist Party is foiled.

It is strange and highly suspicious that the second wave has not affected any of our immediate neighbors nor other countries of the region. Is it merely a coincidence that the States where Congress has a role in governance acted as the super spreader of this wave. Intelligence agencies must investigate some of the unusual sequence of events that have occurred in connection with the sudden exponential spread of the virus.

We have the right to name and shame all the conspirators involved in this sordid game of killing ordinary innocent country men. The Government is urged to fulfill its duties towards ordinary citizens and their safety.

Finally, a disturbing and disgusting role of our Judiciary & Judges has been exposed. The tendency of the Judiciary to overstep its domain amounting to interference in the functions of the Executive is unacceptable. We have to remain vigilant that the clear boundaries set by our Constitution does not get blurred by judicial activism under the influence of political leanings of Judges. The common man cannot be compromised for political agenda setting & settling personal scores.

We shall overcome and make those who intend to harm us and the Nation to pay dearly for their sins.

Corona Time

December 2019 onwards the World has been struggling to cope with the Chinese Virus that has created havoc of unimaginable proportions for entire mankind.

Technically we are in the 18th month of our collective struggle with this killer virus which is suspected to have originated in Wuhan and then clandestinely exported across the Globe (some say intentionally by CCP) to dominate World's Political & Economic space in accordance with Communist expansionist ideology.

Unfortunately, the originators of this concept have been joined by some greedy corporates and political/private entities as partners hidden behind different veils embedded in their invisible domains related to the Pharma Industry and Vaccine technology.

A hidden sinister agenda of this health related turmoil is to destabilize countries like India by spreading series of well coordinated events based on falsehood and fake perceptions targeted at leaders who carry popular mandate to govern in accordance with democratic principles drawn from their relevant Constitutions.

The forced prison like life style imposed on a majority of humans has not only caused massive economic pain and uncertainty but a lot of mental health issues for families. Fear of death and loosing dear ones has gripped the imagination of many who are forced to live in pandemic appropriate environment. The uncertainty associated with corona protocol without any date line in the near future for its easing out from our life has overwhelmed most people.

An entire generation of kids are deprived of their golden years of growing up in a normal atmosphere filled with restrictive behavior imposed on them. Parents are facing stressful times trying to cope with children who are not allowed to enjoy play time and have fun with friends. No schools. No outings. No activities. No holidays. A whole list of 'NOs' have entered our life.

However, the best and satisfying aspect of this restrictive period is that we have discovered new ways of working from home, learning from home, eating from home. Many relationships have suddenly blossomed and grown stronger within the family. Unknown skills, hidden talents and passions are being exploited.

Finally, hoping and remaining positive about the present and future shall allow us to overcome this difficult period and we shall emerge stronger and more humane in the coming days. Some nasty aspects of human behavior has revealed itself. The human overload on our environment has reduced. Nature has found time to heal itself. Let us plan to adopt "HUMAN APPROPRIATE" behavior where Corona represents the Sun's Bright Corona.

365 DAYS

Yesterday 15th January 2014 was privileged to add another eventful year to my life on the surface of Mother Earth and remain grateful for this splendid opportunity provided by God's Grace.
The landmark 'events' that come to mind during the course of the 365 days addition to my lifespan during which His Grace shined on me and my dear ones including wonderful friends (not to forget the few guys who decided to remain away by their choice?) have been many and varied.
My shortlist for sharing with the world are:
* Robert - who sought my lovely daughter Tina's hand in marriage on her 25th birthday in February 2013.
* Celebrating my first grand child Neal's maiden birthday in April 2013.
* Flying out (though alone without my loving spouse) to Lusaka to take up an interesting professional assignment and in the bargain meet some wonderful new work mates and reconnect with dear friends - May 2013 onward.
* Setting up a suitable house to be converted as our Zambia 'home' when the spouse arrives - November 2013.
* 'Unique' wedding ceremony in Bangalore of Tina & Robert - December 2013; which provided the backdrop for meeting John & Debbie who arrived all the way from US to Bless their only son's marriage. Two very graceful and good human beings.
* Visiting my daughter's new home in Mumbai while spending quality time with Tina & Robert - December 2013 + January 2014.
* Flying out to Lusaka along with the 'bestest' woman in my life - January 2014.
* Quiet and private birthday celebration while receiving greetings through the day from around the globe.
* Bonus - watching my first grand child Neal grow while spreading joy all around him as each stage of his natural 'growth calendar' so meticulously drafted by Nature unfolds every day. Calling me 'Dadu' is the icing on the 365 days!!

AFRICA BECKONS

Last week on May 21 landed back in Zambia to take up an assignment. It felt good to step out of the aircraft and touch Lusaka's familiar soil after a gap of exactly six years. The terminal building and the facilities at the airport turned out to be deceptive as there was no sign of the vast change and growth that has invaded Zambia. The drive from the airport to the hotel gradually revealed the changed landscape along with the heavy traffic on the roads - the first sign of economic growth that has overtaken the country during the period  I chose to stay away.
Experienced a happy upgrade of important information - while waiting in the transit lounge at Dubai to board the connecting flight to Lusaka I was leafing through the latest edition of the Economist on my Kindle (favorite companion) where I came across an article on Zambia wherein it was mentioned that  Zambia's GDP has risen at an average rate of almost 6% in the past decade, while inflation has dropped from more than 20% to below 7%. Encouraging statistics for me ;>))
The new shopping malls and impressive commercial complexes housing banks and other growth related activities is a very encouraging view for Zambia and Africa as a whole.
My new new assignment is again very interesting and has a lot of knowledge addition value with the usual hand holding activities required by any start up company on the verge of growth. A bit of housekeeping is involved to introduce robust and user friendly systems. The stake holders are very aggressive but decent business people.
Thank you Zambia and Africa for providing another opportunity to contribute in productive professional activities.

HAND OVER

In another three days will board flight back to Bangalore after an interesting assignment based in Maun, Botswana.
The famous Okavango Delta was the back drop of the commercial activities of start up companies which was part of my portfolio and happily the enterprises have systems in place to forge ahead without further hand holding!!
Learning was a major component of the day to day activities so the time spent at my desk was value addition to knowledge about business of which I had no prior exposure.
Home coming is always exciting so look forward to it and hopefully more posts here!!

HOMAGE TO MAMA

Saturday November 6th struck a huge blow when my dear Choto Mama suddenly left us following a heart attack. It is a divine coincidence that my Dad (they were dear friends) had left us on the same month 35 years ago.
Two unexpected departures within 5 months. Earlier this year on June 8 Shankar Kaka left us. Two favorite Uncles passing away have made 2010 a forgettable year. They became unselfish mentors when Dad left me at a vulnerable age and I owe all that I have become today as a person to them.
Witnessing Choto Mama's life style as a hugely famous Tea Planter had made a lasting impression on my just out of school mind, years ago in Jalpaiguri (North Bengal's tea plantation zone) planting the first seeds of aspiration.
As years went by I realized that Mama was more about being a great human being than a successful planter.
His attitude and zest for life till the end (all of 85 years) could shame many youngsters.
He made his presence felt in the most subtle fashion making you feel wanted even when there was no direct communication for months.
Love, unadulterated affection with down to earth attitude was the secret of his invisible presence in the lives of anyone who was fortunate to be part of his orbit.
Shall always miss your hug but remain comforted by your eternal presence.
Good bye dear Mama.

FANTASY WEEK END

On Saturday 4th September boarded a five seater (actually 6 with the pilot) airplane to travel to the famous Okavango Delta (Google to obtain more information on this interesting gift of nature to Botswana) out of Maun. The flight to the lodge where we headed was forty five minutes away flying at a maximum height of 6000 feet ASL.
This first time experience of sitting besides the pilot and flying in a small craft was both exciting and a bit scary, but the flight was smooth and no different from larger aircrafts. Level of confidence and enjoyment was higher during the return flight!
We landed on an air strip in the middle of no where and parked the craft to board the Land Rover waiting to transport us to a lodge.
The thirty minutes drive to the lodge (also known as wilderness camps) was the most eventful drive ever experienced. We literally drove over sand (Kalahari desert) and waist deep water along the route and over a clumsy looking wooden bridge in the middle of the jungle where you could spot variety of birds and animals.
The lodge was a gem in the middle of no where. The idea of experiencing African Safari cannot be better described unless one spends time at this lodge. Around midnight an elephant chose the immediate vicinity of our isolated cottage to look for food and it was a few hours of noisy activities before it decided to walk past the lagoon facing the cottage.
The cottages are mainly built from natural products collected from the forest and other eco-friendly concepts which included an open air shower (barely covered on three sides not to embarass your neighbour in the next far away cottage!!)with the fourth side open and facing the lagoon without a roof!!
Experienced nature at its best and company of guests from around the world.

BACK IN AFRICA

On July 30 landed at Gaborone in Botswana with touch downs in Nairobi and Johannesburg after just over thirty eight months back home in Bangalore to take up an assignment.
That Africa is an under rated continent becomes obvious no sooner than you step out of the aircraft at destination. The air is pure and oxygen rich. The airports are clean and not over crowded. The people are friendly, greeting and treating you as humans.
Botswana is different from Zambia in many respects but the "African touch" remains the same.
My initial posting is 900 kms away from the capital at Maun where we arrived after ten hours drive on roads which are smooth as butter allowing you to touch top speed of 160 kms/hour on practically empty highways.
To experience the best of both worlds the AFRICAN EXPERIENCE is ideal.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Late evening of 14th July a difficult decision to relocate in India taken three years ago has been more than justified by our loving daughter through her efforts to graduate with a satisfying performance, though our desire to be physically with her during the three years of academic pursuits could not be fulfilled fully as she spent most of the time away in a Mumbai college.
In retrospect – the distance away from home in Bangalore contributed towards her growth as a responsible person.
Mumbai of course gave her a wonderful exposure of college at Sophia and a pulsating city life in general. Despite criticism and cynicism ‘life in Mumbai’ when lived with discretion can be awesome.
It is wonderful to realize that her core group of friends all performed well while enjoying ‘college life’ to the hilt.
Congratulations girls for creating such joy and fun while attaining the objective of good academic performance.
Let your friendship evolve as you separate to commence another journey.
Three cheers. God Bless. Love you.

LEGACY OF LOVE

On June 8 the Nandi clan along with other friends and family lost RAHUL KUMAR NANDI (Shankar Kaka to my branch of the family tree) to a nasty but pain less heart attack in a hotel room of Istanbul in Turkey while holidaying with spouse and four other couples from Singapore.
Family, friends, fun and sharing joy was his trademark.
The void arising from his sudden departure is difficult to fathom. He meant so much to so many all across the world. The memories of wonderful moments he endlessly created during his seventy years three months physical stay amongst us will be cherished for long.
That a hugely successful person with a larger than large heart succumbed to his heart is symbolic in more ways than one for all those who had the good fortune of knowing him.
Only a few great souls leave behind a legacy of love and humility not withstanding stunning personal achievements and fabulous material success.
Good Bye Shankar Kaka. We will miss you for ever.

TERROR WINS?

The Indian Railways have decided not to run trains during the night on tracks passing through Naxal affected areas following the tragic blowing up of a passenger train killing hundreds of innocent passengers.
What a bizarre and meek surrender to terror.
Railways become the first casualty of a State under siege.
The Minister of Railways is so busy with regional politics in Kolkata with civic polls that she has lost the authority and right to remain in office. The PM must sack her immediately and arrest her for dereliction of duty while initiating investigation in her and her party's role in patronizing with the Naxals for political manipulation in Singur and other areas to gain political mileage against West Bengal government.
She is alleging a conspiracy in the polls scheduled for 31st May instead of managing the ministry. Not a word of sympathy or regret has come from her filthy mouth for the thousands affected by a national tragedy.
The dignity and prestige of INDIA cannot be bartered by an individual Minister's whims and lack of involvement in national duties.

MURDER BY AIR INDIA

It was only a matter of time as to where and when innocent passengers will have to pay with their lives to wake up the Government, Minister Patel(usually busy with counting his cash from 'beedi' sales/diversion of aircraft from scheduled flights for daughter's needs/lying for his party boss Sharad etc.) and Air India from deep slumber.
The sorry and shabby state of affairs in the airlines has for long been in the 'accident waiting to happen' mode.
The airlines does not deserve to exist any longer now that the fuse has run out with this tragic "killing" for which the top management along with the Minister and other corrupt officials should be tried in our courts for murder. All the statistics on its operations are pathetic and frightening.
The series of incidents involving the National carrier during the recent months has become an national shame portraying India as incompetent bunch of idiots unable to operate air travel safely.
Just shut down this 'white elephant' or sell it at salvage value to a private operator if the iconic "Maharaja" Brand can be revived.
May the departed souls of innocents who died because of this criminal negligence rest in eternal peace.

BLACK VEIL

May be it is relevant to discuss the burqa ban in India similar to that which some western countries have implemented/contemplating.
It is a practical solution to overcome more than likely security threats posed by terrorists engaged in clandestine activities hidden behind a black veil. The scare on a recent domestic flight to Kolkata is a case in point.
Though the arm chair human rights activists (mostly exploiting dollar denominated NGO sector) will have some stupid objections to this 'REAL' security threat.
Let practicing 'Musalmans' exercise their choice to cover or uncover their bodies in private space since their religion is abused to instigate terror around the world.
Tenets of Islam are misinterpreted by a vested minority to unleash monsters in society but the majority of the Prophet’s followers accept this abuse without protest. Logical consequence of this is that they accept to suffer restrictions in public space for protecting innocent citizens.
The other alternative (though impractical) is to push such Muslims to live within gated communities free to practice the rigidities of their religion fully covered or uncovered??

HORROR KILLING

HORRIFIC FACTS :
TWENTY TWO YEAR QUALIFIED GIRL WORKING AS JOURNALIST BECOMES VICTIM OF "HONOUR KILLING" IN HER PARENTS HOUSE.
PARENTS DISGUISE IT AS SUICIDE. FATHER & BROTHER ARE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES.
POST MORTEM REPORT EXPOSES THE FAKE SUICIDE. MOTHER IS ARRESTED.
ENTER 'BRILLIANT MANIPULATOR' MR. CRIMINAL LAWYER AND FACTS TURN FICTION.
Another case of perversity of our criminal justice system where the powerful are permitted to manipulate facts whereby the victim becomes accused.
A twelve weeks pregnant young woman is killed then a rape charge is initiated by the brain wave of corrupt criminal lawyer to harass the surviving lover.
Evidence destroyed, facts twisted, police bribed, courts influenced is the highlight of our justice system where human life has no value where only money and connections speaks.
The cry for reforms and protection of victims dies silent death repeatedly.

BLIND SPOT

The recent failed 'car bomb' incident in New York has been traced to a Pakistani.
Hope USA and its short sighted administration now realizes the gravity of turning a blind eye to the confirmed terror capital of the world in the stupid belief that Pakistan is a strategic partner merely by virtue of its geographical location in the scheme of America's Geo-political interests.
Pakistan needs to be starved till it acknowledges the dirty double cross it plays with USA and its other squinted Western allies, and unilaterally commits itself to take action against the terrorists it harbors and trains to damage the entire world especially INDIA.
India should immediately cease the opportunity to call Pakistan's bluff and expose them to the world community as a 'failed state' that needs to be constantly monitored very strictly.

NATIONAL WASTE

MPs representing opposition parties disturbing parliamentary sessions is criminal waste of national resources and reflects to the world at large (through live pictures in the electronic media) the cheap undignified ghetto behavior of adults in the name of democracy.
This destructive unproductive attitude and mentality is being tolerated by the government(s) (irrespective of which bunch is in power) and cannot be allowed to continue.
It is obvious that the elected Members are shameless power hungry individuals not fit to be leaders. They need to be punished with stiff fines and disallowed from the house for creating and or participating in criminal wastage of time and resources.
As it is most MPs are 'irregular guests' in the house preferring to remain busier with money making activities (mostly corrupt) by flaunting their MP status.
Why must the tax paying Indian population pay the bills of these useless individuals?

SET A THIEF TO CATCH A THIEF

Irrespective of the truth in the various allegations leveled by the Board against Modi who is now the 'fall guy' for the collective failure of the BCCI Board Members, he has shown moral courage by publicly stating to accept responsibility for any wrong doing that can be proven against him.
This is in stark contrast to the escapist stand taken by the rest of the Members who should also be held equally guilty for wrong doings.
It is obvious that a 'dummy' Commissioner to replace Modi will ensure that all evidence is tailored to fix Modi while proof of failure and corruption pointing to the rest of the gang is destroyed.
The pathetic blame game being articulated by Shashank in his official capacity speaks volumes for the total lack of transparency and low morals with undignified behavior.
None of the 'cricket mafia' who represent BCCI has the moral courage to own up their failures but have the audacity to assume that the players and fans will accept their eye wash of internal investigation.
It is absurd that the thieves will investigate their own theft without allowing third party verification.
Zero credibility will be the outcome but the mafia will be free to loot with a new team better equipped to cover their trail based on the facts uncovered.

BIG THIEF KILLS SMALL THIEF

The Finals of the IPL was in progress while the 'crooks' representing BCCI were absent from the venue huddled in some hotel room (certainly enjoying free food and drinks) drafting 'show cause' notice served on Lalit Modi in the dead of night. This in itself reflects the criminal characteristics of the office bearers whose priority is not the game but the personal benefits accruing from cricket which they perceived to be under threat. Boycotting an event which is hosted by BCCI is an insult to the players and the nation's public at large.
The treatment meted out to Modi is akin to mob lynching by corrupt BCCI gang lords in association with greedy politicians and other vested individuals!!
Such treatment in a democratic country makes India a 'BANANA REPUBLIC', which is a shame and an attempt to deny common citizen's right to know the truth.
Judgment without giving opportunity to defend has no credibility. Hiding behind legalese to isolate an individual where collective responsibility is the core is like burying one's head in the sand in the hope that failures of omission and commission will disappear by shooting the scape goat.
The government must take recourse to suspending the BCCI forthwith and show political will and sense of equity and justice expected in our democratic environment to save the game and country from disrepute.
